Associate Professor Chen received her A.B. in Physics, M.P.P., and Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard University. Her research interests are in International Finance, Open Economy Macroeconomics, and International Trade.

Takashi Kano

Takashi Kano is a professor in the Graduate School of Economics at Hitotsubashi University, Tokyo, Japan. Takashi’s research areas are open economy macroeconomics and international finance. His recent research focuses on general equilibrium characterization of real and nominal exchange rate dynamics. He also currently works on a natural experiment study of real exchange rate adjustments with Japanese historical data. Takashi was a senior economist at the Bank of Canada and an assistant professor at the University of Tokyo. Takashi holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of British Columbia.
